a little boy wearing a formal with books around him“I love the Preschool program at Oxford Trails not only for the academics- which are astounding- but for the focus on character development and life skills. That alone is priceless to a working mom!”

The Preschool Room

Our Preschool Room builds the necessary skills to succeed in the path ahead, supporting each individual child in their learning adventure! Our curriculum, coupled with our consistent and loving teachers, instills a high level of self-confidence in your Preschooler.

Our Preschool students study Pre-Kindergarten level Math using Big Math for Little Kids curriculum, focusing on skills such as patterns, numbers 1 through 50, one-to-one correspondence, ordinal numbers, sequencing, measuring and so much more! To create a solid foundation for early language and literacy, we use Pre-Kindergarten level Houghton Mifflin Reading curriculum.

With this program, our students will master respect and appreciation for literature of all genres, phonemic awareness (the phonic sound for each alphabet letter), early sight word recognition and beginning writing skills. The fun doesn’t stop there- our character development curriculum teaches about the fundamentals of respect, cooperation and community involvement. As we study about the many cultures that create our world, Preschoolers learn the importance of appreciating differences. And of course, ample time with technological programs makes for advanced computer skills! Our individualized, balanced and consistent approach ensures that each child is on the trail to academic success!
